The Surat City Special Operations Group (SOG), in coordination with the Food and Drugs Department, conducted raids on two medical stores in the Salabatpura-Mandarwaja area of Gujarat. The operation targeted Smit Sai and Daruwala Shivshakti medical stores following reports of medicines being sold without prescriptions.

Authorities seized 18,316 tablets and three bottles of codeine syrup, with an estimated total value of Rs 2,75,068. The seized items included various tablets such as Spasmo Proxyvon, Prehabalin, and Calic, which officials noted could be misused for intoxication, particularly by young people.
