Survivor Greece contestant sues producers for $100M over leg injury

Stavros Floros, a contestant on Season 13 of Survivor Greece, has filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade County seeking over $100 million in compensatory and punitive damages from the show's producers. The legal action follows a May 11 accident in the Dominican Republic where Floros was struck by a tourist boat while spearfishing, resulting in the amputation of his left leg and serious injuries to his right leg.

The lawsuit names several defendants, including Acun Medya, Acun Medya Global, Acun LLC, Acun Ilıcalı, and Skai TV. Floros alleges that production failed to provide adequate safety measures, such as spotters, safety boats, or warning markers in an area known for heavy boat traffic. He also claims that contestants were prevented from using phones, which hindered their ability to call for help during the emergency.

Beyond the accident itself, the complaint includes allegations of misconduct following the injury. Floros claims that production attempted to pressure a contestant into signing a document falsely stating the competition had ended before the accident occurred. Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that producers provided cocaine and marijuana to remaining cast members to calm them while attempting to continue filming.
