Survivor Greece contestant lawsuit

Stavros Floros, a 21-year-old contestant on Survivor Greece, has filed a lawsuit seeking over $100 million in damages following a life-altering accident during filming in the Dominican Republic. The incident occurred while Floros was spearfishing near Saona Island, where he was struck by a tourist boat propeller, resulting in the partial amputation of his left leg and severe injuries to his right ankle.

In legal filings submitted in Miami-Dade County, Floros names several defendants, including Acun Medya, Acun Medya Global, Acun LLC, Acun Ilıcalı, and Skai TV. The lawsuit alleges negligence, claiming producers failed to provide essential safety measures such as spotters, warning markers, or safety boats in an area known for heavy boat traffic. The complaint also asserts that contestants were prevented from using phones, which hindered their ability to call for help during the emergency.

Beyond the accident, the lawsuit includes allegations of misconduct by the production team. Floros claims that producers attempted to pressure a contestant into signing a document falsely stating the competition had ended before the accident occurred. Furthermore, the filing alleges that production staff provided cocaine and marijuana to remaining cast members to help them settle following the incident.
