Suspects implicate mastermind in Gisac Jewelry robbery

Two individuals, Ángel David de Jesús and César Edwar Tejeda Carela (alias Pelo Fino), have surrendered to authorities following a robbery at Gisac Jewelry in the Villa Juana sector. During their statements, they identified a man named Sandel as the alleged mastermind behind the heist.

According to the suspects, Sandel traveled from Italy to the Dominican Republic specifically to plan the robbery. They claim Sandel possessed detailed information about the establishment, including photographs, videos, and security protocols. It is alleged that Sandel gained this intelligence through a relationship with a niece of the jewelry store owner.

The suspects also detailed how they conducted multiple reconnaissance trips around the area to monitor security movements and staff presence before executing the crime.
