SUTEYM union marks 60th anniversary and integrates new members
The Sindicato Único de Trabajadores de los Poderes, Municipios e Instituciones Descentralizadas del Estado de México (SUTEYM) recently marked its 60th anniversary with events focused on labor stability and the integration of new members.
In Toluca, SUTEYM General Secretary Herminio Cahue Calderón presided over a ceremony to swear in new public servants receiving permanent positions. Cahue emphasized the organization’s 88-year history of direct contact with representatives and noted the humanist approach of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez toward public employees.
In Tlalnepantla, municipal President Raciel Pérez Cruz reaffirmed a commitment to improving working conditions for unionized staff. He highlighted a productive relationship between the local government and SUTEYM, noting that dialogue has been essential to resolving challenges and securing labor rights for the benefit of the community.
