SUTEYM union institutional and labor activities
Overview
The Sindicato Único de Trabajadores de los Poderes, Municipios e Instituciones Descentralizadas del Estado de México (SUTEYM) has focused on maintaining institutional relationships with local governments and expanding its membership.
In Naucalpan, SUTEyM secretary-general Tomás Palomares Parra announced that the union would maintain a cooperative relationship with Mayor Isaac Montoya Márquez, pledging to remain non-partisan and focus on labor matters and service delivery. During this period, the union also initiated construction on a new headquarters.
Following these developments, the organization marked its 60th anniversary with ceremonies in Toluca and Tlalnepantla. In Toluca, General Secretary Herminio Cahue Calderón presided over the swearing-in of new public servants into permanent positions. In Tlalnepantla, municipal President Raciel Pérez Cruz reaffirmed a commitment to improving working conditions through dialogue with the union.
