Sutomore road safety improvements planned for Sozina-Korali stretch

The Traffic Administration has completed technical documentation to improve road safety on the stretch between the Sozina tunnel and the Korali hotel in Sutomore. The planned improvements include the installation of vibration strips, enhanced vertical and horizontal traffic signaling, reflective road markers, and appropriate light signaling. Additionally, protective fences are planned for pedestrian crossings and bridge structures.

Sutomore has become a critical point for road safety. Between 2024 and 2026, the area recorded 143 traffic accidents, resulting in 36 injuries and seven fatalities. Specific problematic sections include Lakovići, Ideja, Vodovod, Partizanski put, Volija, the area near the bus station, the Brca settlement, and Korali. While the administration has finalized the documentation, a specific timeline for the commencement of works has not yet been established.
