Suvendu Adhikari warns BJP leaders following Nandigram victory

Following the BJP's victory in the Nandigram by-election, Suvendu Adhikari has issued a warning to party leaders and workers to maintain decorum. Speaking at an event in Reyapara to honor martyrs and the injured, Adhikari cautioned against displaying arrogance or pride after winning. He specifically referenced the ‘jahajbari’ (ship house) controversy involving TMC leader Sheikh Sufiyan, advising BJP members to ensure their conduct does not invite similar accusations of corruption or ostentation.

Adhikari also pledged to maintain his connection to Nandigram as a voter and promised to expedite the construction of railways, bridges, and improved medical services at the Nandigram Super Specialty Hospital.

In a separate engagement during a water body inauguration in Kudghat, Adhikari praised Minister Agnimitra Paul for her active work both in the office and on the ground, urging her to ignore social media trolling. He also commended Sharbari Mukherjee for her political role in Jadavpur and expressed confidence in the government's standing ahead of the upcoming Kolkata municipal elections.
