Suwałki funds psychological support project for local youth

The President of Suwałki has provided funding of 184,960 PLN for a public project titled ‘Gniazdowanie - Centrum Wsparcia Młodzieży’ (Nesting - Youth Support Center). To be implemented by the EGO Foundation, the project will run from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

The initiative aims to support 670 individuals across four distinct groups. This includes 110 young people receiving intensive individual therapy, diagnosis, and psychotherapy; 400 students participating in psychoeducational activities; 110 parents or guardians; and 50 teachers, pedagogues, or school psychologists, the latter of whom will also receive supervision.

The program specifically targets high school students, particularly those in their first year, to address emotional crises, anxiety, relational difficulties, isolation, and aggressive or self-harming behaviors during the transition to a new school environment.
