Suzano reports Q2 2026 results with improved cash flow and pulp prices

Suzano reported second-quarter 2026 results characterized by stronger free cash flow, increased pulp prices, and improved sales volumes in the paper segment. CEO Beto Abreu noted the company's resilience despite geopolitical volatility, inflation in oil-linked inputs, and maintenance-related disruptions that impacted costs.

The company confirmed the Arbex transaction closed on July 1, with management now focused on integration, efficiency gains, and deleveraging. In leadership changes, Carlos Aníbal will succeed Aires Galhardo as the Industrial and Engineering Executive Vice President.

The paper and packaging segment saw sequential performance gains driven by higher volumes and prices, though these were partially offset by rising costs in wood, logistics, and oil-related products. In Brazil, print-and-writing paper demand rose 4% year over year, while paperboard demand increased 8% compared to the previous year.
