Suzlon Group secures 1.1 GW in new wind energy orders

Suzlon Group has announced significant expansions in India’s renewable energy sector, securing 1.1 GW of new orders for FY27. This includes a 250 MW wind order from Torrent Green Energy, bringing their cumulative partnership to over 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh. The new order involves the supply of 76 S144 wind turbines, each with a 3.3 MW capacity, alongside grid integration and maintenance services.

In Andhra Pradesh, Suzlon is planning a ₹10,000 crore investment to develop 1,325 MW of wind power capacity in the Anantapur district, in collaboration with Tata Power and Waaree Energy. The company aims to reach a total of 5 GW of renewable energy projects in the state by 2030. As part of this expansion, new S144 wind blade manufacturing lines are being inaugurated in Huliker village.

Suzlon’s operations in Andhra Pradesh already include over 1,700 MW of installed capacity and a manufacturing facility that accounts for approximately 40% of the company’s global blade production.
