Suzlon lands 195 MW wind order, pushing its 3 MW platform sales to almost 9 GW in India

Suzlon Energy has received a repeat order of 195 MW from renewable‑energy firm Sunsure Energy, increasing cumulative sales of its 3 MW wind platform to nearly 9 GW. The partnership now totals about 300 MW across Maharashtra and Karnataka. Under the new contract Suzlon will install 65 S144 turbine generators, each rated at 3 MW, in the Bijapur district of Karnataka. With this deal Suzlon’s orderbook in Karnataka exceeds 2 GW, while its installed base in the state stands at 1,500 MW, representing 24 % of its South‑India capacity. The company is also executing other large commercial and industrial projects in Karnataka totalling 664 MW. Executive Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said the 3 MW platform is a key driver of Suzlon’s growth, while Sunsure CEO Shashank Sharma highlighted the need for round‑the‑clock clean power. Suzlon will announce its FY2026 financial results on May 25.
