Suzuki introduces eVITARA as its first fully electric SUV
Suzuki has officially introduced the eVITARA, the brand’s first 100% electric model, marking a significant transition for the iconic Vitara line. Built on the dedicated Heartect-e electric vehicle platform, the new compact SUV is designed to integrate battery technology more effectively than previous iterations.
The eVITARA features a 61 kWh battery and is available in two configurations: a single-motor version and a Dual Motor 4WD version. The latter utilizes the Allgrip-e system, which manages torque between the front and rear axles using two electric motors to provide traction on low-grip surfaces. The 4WD Dual Motor variant produces a combined 184 CV and 307 Nm of torque.
This electric evolution follows the long-standing success of the Vitara nameplate, which has reached over four million customers globally since its launch in 1988. While the brand maintains its identity of versatility and off-road capability, the eVITARA represents a technological shift toward full electrification.
