Suzuki launches eVitara, its first all‑electric off‑road SUV
Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled the eVitara, the brand’s first fully electric vehicle. Built on a new platform developed jointly with Toyota for the Urban Cruiser, the eVitara combines the company’s off‑road heritage with modern electric‑vehicle design. The compact SUV measures 4.28 m in length, a 2.70 m wheelbase and offers 18 cm of ground clearance, keeping its capability on rough terrain while presenting a sleek, geometric front fascia.
Inside, the cabin features a redesigned dashboard with a 10.25‑inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1‑inch infotainment screen integrated into a single trapezoidal unit. Physical climate‑control buttons remain, and the centre console includes drive‑mode selectors, all‑wheel‑drive controls and wireless smartphone charging. The rear seats slide 16 cm forward or backward, expanding cargo capacity from roughly 240 L to over 310 L, providing practical versatility for the segment.
