Suzuki launches eVitara, its first global electric SUV

Suzuki has launched the eVitara, its first mass-produced electric SUV intended for global markets. Developed in part with technical collaboration from Toyota and under the direction of Maruti Suzuki in India, the model marks the brand's transition into the electric vehicle era.

The vehicle features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 181 hp. While the official range is stated at 395 km, real-world testing suggests lower practical figures. The design incorporates a modern interior with a new dashboard architecture, including a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment display.

Despite its sophisticated design and robust crossover styling, the model faces criticism regarding its infotainment system's complexity and slower response times. Prices for the model start at approximately €38,490.
