Wildberries warehouses hit by Ukrainian drones, killing dozens and disrupting Russia's online retail

Ukrainian long‑range drones struck several large Wildberries logistics centres in Russia on 21‑22 July 2026. Facilities hit included the Kotovsk and Elektrostal warehouses near Moscow, a centre in Krasnodar, and sites in the Belgorod region. The attacks caused fires that were visible from satellite imagery, killed at least eight people and injured dozens more.

The Kremlin confirmed the damage, with spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying, “the situation is indeed difficult because of the losses suffered both by the company itself and by representatives of small and medium‑sized businesses.” Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim said the company was fielding many questions about compensation for damaged goods. Turkish retailer Koton Mağazacılık also reported inventory loss at the affected sites.

Ukraine has framed the strikes as targeting logistics used for military supplies, while Russian officials have described the warehouses as civilian targets. The attacks are part of an intensified Ukrainian drone campaign that has seen hundreds of drones intercepted daily, and they prompted a reported Russian missile barrage on Kyiv as retaliation.
