Swedish apartment fires injure several and spark arson investigation

A fire broke out in a bedroom of an apartment in Rättvik on 24 May, prompting the evacuation of a multi‑family building. Three residents were taken to hospital by ground ambulance and an air ambulance; the cause remains unknown.

Later on 23 May, a blaze erupted in a flat in Kungsladugård, a district of Gothenburg near the Göteborgsvarvet marathon route. Firefighters extinguished the initial flames and found no occupants. Police are treating the incident as a suspected arson, though no suspect has been identified. Both incidents involved coordinated responses from fire services, police and emergency medical teams.
