Swedish police investigate multiple homicide and arson cases

Authorities in Sweden are advancing several criminal investigations. In Älvsjö, an additional person has been detained in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old woman. This individual is suspected of aggravated arson in Huddinge municipality occurring one week prior to the murder, though the connection between the two crimes remains unclear. Several teenagers, including two boys and a 14-year-old girl, are already in custody on suspicion of murder or aiding and abetting the crime.

In Helsingborg, a man in his 70s remains in custody suspected of murdering his wife. A preliminary psychological evaluation suggests the suspect may have suffered from a serious mental disorder both at the time of the incident and during the examination. Investigators are currently awaiting an autopsy report from the National Board of Forensic Medicine to assist with the case.
