On 27 July 2026 Swiss International Air Lines flight LX16 departed Zurich for New York in an Airbus A330‑300 (registration HB‑JHK) carrying 208 passengers and crew. The aircraft had previously been involved in a serious incident in April 2026, when its left‑hand Rolls‑Royce Trent engine failed during a rejected take‑off at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, causing wheel and brake smoke and injuring six people.
