Swiss customs seize 2.5kg of cocaine in Aargau
Swiss customs officials from the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) seized approximately 2.5 kilograms of cocaine during a vehicle inspection in Mumpf, Canton Aargau.
A mobile patrol stopped a Swiss-registered car on September 14, 2026, driven by a 40-year-old German national residing in Switzerland. The driver was unable to produce a valid driver's license and was found in possession of a forged Swiss driver's license and a forged Swiss residence permit. Authorities also noted the individual was wanted for arrest.
Upon further inspection of the vehicle in a customs garage, specialists discovered two packages of cocaine hidden within a compartment in the center console. The narcotics, the driver, and the vehicle have been handed over to the Aargau Cantonal Police for ongoing investigations.
