Sydney Swans players expected to return to club following suspensions

Five suspended Sydney Swans players are expected to return to the club this week following the conclusion of the team's season. The players involved in the August Pullman Hotel incident are Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon, and Riley Bice.

The club's internal suspensions were issued due to a breach of club standards and are separate from an ongoing investigation by Victoria Police regarding assault allegations. While no charges have been laid, police have indicated that their process may take some time to conclude. Riley Bice is currently being treated as a witness in the investigation.

The club is still determining the specifics of their return, including whether formal exit meetings will occur or if the players will address the wider playing group before their scheduled breaks. While all five players are under contract, their futures at the club remain uncertain. Nick Blakey has been linked to potential moves to other clubs, whereas Chad Warner has expressed a desire to remain with Sydney through his current contract.

The Swans' season recently ended following a preliminary final loss to Fremantle.
