Sydney Swans players under police investigation for alleged hotel sexual assault

Victoria Police are investigating allegations of sexual assault involving Sydney Swans players following an incident at the Pullman East Melbourne in August. The investigation focuses on an incident involving three adult entertainers.

While five players—Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon, and Riley Bice—were suspended by the club for breaching standards, police updates indicate that Riley Bice is being treated solely as a witness and is not a suspect. The investigation has narrowed its focus to the four other players, though no charges have been laid.

Detectives recently traveled to New South Wales to conduct interviews. Police stated they believe they have identified all individuals who were in the hotel room at the time of the alleged incident and are not seeking anyone further. The club has suspended the players for the remainder of the season, and the players have reportedly engaged separate legal counsel to represent their interests.
