Sydney Swans players unite to rebuild culture amid club turmoil
AFLW star Cynthia Hamilton has praised the resilience of the Sydney Swans, stating that the club’s men’s and women’s teams have grown closer following recent turmoil. Hamilton described the club's cultural rebuild as “actually beautiful,” noting that players are engaging in shared activities, such as morning breath work, to strengthen their connection.
The club is currently navigating the aftermath of the men’s Pullman Hotel scandal. While the women’s team saw a significant surge in support, with a recent crowd of 16,672 more than doubling their previous home game record, the men’s team recorded its lowest SCG attendance of the season at 30,058.
Several key players, including Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, and Nick Blakey, are currently serving club-imposed bans. Additionally, James Jordon and Riley Bice will not play again this season. The Swans women are set to play a home game at Henson Park in the upcoming Sydney derby against GWS.
