Syrian security forces dismantle nine-member Daesh cell in Quneitra

Syrian security forces have dismantled a Daesh cell consisting of nine members in the Khan Arnabah area of the Quneitra countryside. The operation was conducted by the Internal Security Forces in coordination with the General Intelligence Directorate.

Authorities identified the alleged leader of the group as Musab Khalil al-Sheikh, also known by the alias “al-Sini.” Al-Sheikh reportedly had previous ties to Daesh operations in Damascus, the Syrian desert, and the Hauran region. The cell was allegedly involved in logistical and operational tasks, including the collection of weapons and the transport of explosive devices and components to facilitate group movements in southern Syria.

The detainees have been referred to judicial authorities for further investigation. This operation comes as Syrian authorities continue to increase security measures to prevent the regrouping of extremist networks in the country.
