SYRIZA criticizes US sanctions against the International Criminal Court

Harris Tzimitras, the Foreign Affairs spokesperson for SYRIZA, has criticized the United States' decision to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC). Tzimitras described the move by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio as ‘both predatory and extremely dangerous.’

He argued that the US government's ongoing disregard for international institutions undermines the foundations of international legality and legitimizes intimidation. Tzimitras further questioned the Greek government's response to Rubio's recent speech, suggesting that by praising such stances, the administration is undermining decades of Greek foreign policy based on international law.
