Szczecin to host 47th PKO Half Marathon

The 47th edition of the PKO Half Marathon Szczecin is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 30. As one of Poland's oldest running events, this year's race features a unique option allowing participants to choose their distance during the run. Between the ninth and tenth kilometer, runners can decide whether to complete the full half marathon (21.975 km) or finish at the 10 km mark.

The event, sponsored by PKO Bank Polski, includes a charitable component titled ‘Biegnę Dla Zdrowej Głowy’ (I Run for a Healthy Mind). Participants using this special start number will trigger a donation from the PKO Bank Polski Foundation to the Bronisław Malinowski Primary School in Osin, intended to fund quiet zones for students.
