Running events held in Szczecin and Tarnowskie Góry

Major running events are taking place in Szczecin and Tarnowskie Góry.

The 47th PKO Szczecin Half Marathon is scheduled for August 30. The event expects approximately 6,500 participants, including 4,000 runners from Poland and abroad. The race will start in front of the Szczecin City Hall at Jasne Błonia and pass through the city center and Wały Chrobrego. Due to the event, several streets will be closed to traffic between 8:00 and 13:00, affecting public transport and local access. The University of Szczecin's Faculty of Physical Culture and Health is supporting the event by providing a diagnostic zone at the Floating Arena on August 28–29, offering body composition analysis and lectures on injury prevention and training diagnostics.

In Tarnowskie Góry, the 7th PKO Tarnogórski Half Marathon was held on Sunday, August 23. Approximately 1,500 participants competed in the 21.0975 km race, which featured a PZLA certificate. The event also included the 'Srebrna Dyszka' 10.5 km run. The race started at the Market Square and utilized asphalt roads throughout the city, with controlled traffic management to accommodate runners and spectators.
