Tổ Quốc Trong Tim music program draws thousands in Ho Chi Minh City

The patriotic art program ‘Tổ Quốc Trong Tim’ (Motherland in the Heart) was held on August 23, 2026, at the Van Phuc Urban Area in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite heavy rain, tens of thousands of spectators attended the event, which featured a solemn flag-raising ceremony performed by the Honor Guard of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command.

The program was structured into three chapters: ‘Non sông một dải’ (A Unified Land), focusing on the struggle for independence; ‘Sắc đỏ tự hào’ (Proud Red Color), centered on the national flag; and a final modern segment aimed at connecting younger generations with national history.

Musical highlights included performances by the group OPlus, who returned for the second consecutive year with modern arrangements of ‘Tiểu đoàn 307’ and ‘Chiến thắng Điện Biên’. Other notable appearances included singer Tùng Dương and composer Nguyễn Văn Chung, who performed a duet of ‘Hy vọng’ and ‘Tuổi trẻ thế hệ Bác Hồ’. Additionally, Hòa Minzy performed ‘Nỗi đau giữa hòa bình’, a song inspired by Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyễn Thị Thứ.
