Vietnam patriotic concerts 2026
Overview
In August 2026, Vietnam staged a series of state-organized patriotic performances. Following the ‘Giai điệu Tổ quốc’ concert in Hanoi on 3 August, attention shifted to the national program ‘Tổ quốc trong tim’ (Fatherland in the Heart) scheduled for 23 August in Ho Chi Minh City’s Vạn Phúc City. Organized by Báo Nhân Dân and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the production utilized 1,500 tons of equipment and a 124-meter V-shaped stage, aiming to establish the program as a national cultural intellectual property.
Public interest was exceptionally high; online registration recorded 5.7 million access requests, exhausting free tickets in less than two minutes. Regarding the free admission policy, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, noted that ‘patriotism cannot be sold.’ This high demand led to investigations into illegal ticket sales on Facebook, where individuals offered invitations for 420,000 to 610,000 VND.
On 23 August, despite heavy rain, tens of thousands of spectators attended the concert, which featured a flag-raising ceremony by the Honor Guard of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command. The program was divided into three chapters: ‘Non sông một dải’ (A Unified Land), ‘Sắc đỏ tự hào’ (Proud Red Color), and a modern segment for younger generations. Musical highlights included performances by Tùng Dương, Hòa Minzy, and the group OPlus.
Following the event, Bia Saigon participated as a sponsor for the ‘Tổ quốc trong tim 2026’ concert. The brand provided interactive experiences, including a ‘Pride Connection Station’ and a ‘Pride News’ activity designed to help guests preserve their memories of the celebration.
