Tà Xùa and Mộc Châu receive major Asian tourism awards
Tà Xùa and the Mộc Châu National Tourist Area in Sơn La province have received prestigious recognition at the 2026 World Travel Awards for the Asia, Oceania, and Indian Ocean region. Tà Xùa was honored as the ‘Asia’s Leading Emerging Destination’ for the first time, having competed against destinations in Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
Mộc Châu National Tourist Area secured its fifth consecutive title as ‘Asia’s Leading Natural Destination’ since 2022. These awards are recognized as significant milestones for the region, highlighting efforts in resource conservation, identity preservation, and investment attraction to boost local livelihoods.
In addition to these accolades, Tà Xùa is seeing increased tourist interest due to a blooming butterfly flower garden. Located on a 1,000m2 hill with views of the ‘dinosaur backbone’ mountain ridge, the garden has become a popular social media attraction, despite challenging terrain for visitors to access.
