Taboão da Serra reports 32.9% drop in robberies

Taboão da Serra has recorded a significant decrease in robberies during the first eight months of the year. According to data from the Municipal Security Secretariat, the municipality registered 809 cases from January to August, representing a 32.9% drop compared to the 1,206 cases reported during the same period in 2025.

In August alone, the number of robberies fell to 108, down from 141 in the same month of the previous year, a reduction of 23.4%. Local security officials noted that the data indicates a sustained downward trend rather than an isolated occurrence, with crime types also seeing reductions of 4.8% to 10.2% when comparing year-over-year monthly data.
