Tadej Pogačar finishes 2026 as number one in UCI world rankings
Tadej Pogačar has secured the top position in the 2026 UCI individual world rankings. The UAE Team Emirates rider finished the season with 9,331.8 points, maintaining a significant lead over Remco Evenepoel, who placed second with 7,191.6 points.
While Pogačar's lead narrowed in the final weeks due to an injury that prevented further racing, his first-place standing remained secure. The battle for third place was closely contested, with Isaac del Toro finishing with 5,606.5 points, narrowly edging out Paul Seixas, who ended the season in fourth place with 5,580.4 points.
In other ranking shifts, Tom Pidcock rose to fifth place with 4,411.5 points following a second-place finish at the Tour of Guangxi, overtaking Jonas Vingegaard, who finished sixth. Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert maintained their respective positions in the rankings.
