TAGsTwo project promotes precision agriculture in Italy and Greece
The TAGsTwo project, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy 2021-2027 Program, is advancing research and innovation in the agri-food sector. A delegation from GAL Serre Calabresi, including President Marziale Battaglia and Director Carolina Scicchitano, recently participated in a technical meeting and exchange visit in Patras, Greece.
A central focus of the project is the development of a Decision Support System (DSS). This tool is designed to assist farmers by integrating data from sensors, drones, and other digital devices to optimize crop management, including irrigation, fertilization, and disease control.
The project has also identified pilot sites for testing these technological solutions in both Calabria, Italy, and Western Greece. In Italy, the farm Quattrò di Fabio Vetrano in Guardavalle has been selected as a testing site.
