TAGsTwo project tests precision agriculture in Guardavalle

The TAGsTwo project is conducting precision agriculture research and experimentation at the Azienda Agricola Quattrò pilot site in Guardavalle, Italy. Co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Greece-Italy 2021-2027 program, the initiative aims to implement digital technologies to improve agricultural sustainability and resilience against climate change.

Researchers and technicians from Cetma, Crea (Department of Agriculture and Environment), and Gal Serre Calabresi are collecting data from olive groves and citrus orchards. This data is being used to validate a Decision Support System (DSS), a software tool designed to analyze information and suggest optimal interventions for crop management. The goal is to optimize resource use and enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural sector through mathematical models and algorithms.
