Panfilo Lacson alleges fraudulent land titles in Taguig reclamation

Senator Panfilo Lacson has alleged that four parcels of land in Taguig City, covering areas ranging from 5,000 to 193,027 square meters, are part of an illegal reclamation effort and are covered by fraudulent land titles. Lacson stated he will submit specific details regarding these properties to the Office of the Ombudsman’s fact-finding team for investigation.

In addition to the four parcels with allegedly fraudulent titles, Lacson claimed that four other parcels have no plotted title lots within the digital files of the Land Registration Authority (LRA). He has requested the LRA to investigate the history of original certificates of title to determine how documents may have been manipulated.

The allegations follow a dispute with Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, who previously dismissed the claims as hearsay and trolling. The Ombudsman has reportedly issued subpoenas to the LRA, the Taguig Registry of Deeds, the Department of Public Works and Highways, and the Philippine Reclamation Authority as part of an ongoing probe into infrastructure and reclamation works in the area.
