Taichung City leads in sustainability awards at 2026 Asia-Pacific Expo

The 2026 Asia-Pacific and Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (APSAA and TSAA) were held in Taipei, highlighting significant achievements in ESG and sustainable governance across various sectors.

Taichung City emerged as a leader, securing 19 awards, including the Excellent City award for livable sustainability. Key achievements included smart agriculture initiatives, smart traffic signaling, and urban greening projects. The Taichung City Government also showcased its sustainability efforts at the 5th Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo, featuring 11 thematic zones covering energy, tourism, and circular economy.

Nantou County Government received 10 awards, with notable recognition for its healthcare services, including AI-driven stroke prevention and elderly nutrition programs. Chung Shan Medical University also earned multiple honors for its transnational oral health models and precision health management strategies.

In the private sector, Cross-Boundary Strategy Co., Ltd. won a gold award for using XR technology to drive local economic revitalization, while other entities were recognized for integrating AI and digital transformation into regional development and social services.
