Taipei and Hong Kong anime conventions attract over 630,000 visitors

The 25th Taipei Comic Expo was held from July 23‑27 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Organisers reported more than 630,000 attendees and an estimated business opportunity of about 300 million NTD. Around 120 exhibitors staffed over 1,200 booths and 33 stage programs, including sign‑ons with foreign voice actors and idol groups.

The Hong Kong Anime Game Expo 2026 wrapped up on July 28. While the final day was crowded, overall footfall fell roughly 30 % compared with the previous edition, a decline organisers linked to Typhoon Red Cloud and the venue’s layout. The show featured cosplay performances, model‑company showcases such as Threezero, and fan‑focused promotions.
