Overview

The 2026 Taiwan Comic Expo, also referred to as the 25th Manhwa Expo, took place from 23 July to 27 July at the Taipei World Trade Center. The five-day event featured more than 120 companies across 1,200 booths and drew approximately 635,000 visitors. Meanwhile, Kaohsiung hosted the ‘薬屋のひとりごと’ exhibition at the Kaohsiung Station Street area, running until 13 September. As part of the ‘2026 Summer Love Kaohsiung Metro Anime Season’ promotion, the show displayed original production materials, three-dimensional palace recreations, exclusive merchandise, and interactive photo spots, attracting large crowds of anime fans. These events underscore the broader momentum of Taiwan's anime and comic culture during the summer of 2026.
