Taiwan hosts 2026 Tourism Circle Market Day and expands sustainable travel options

Taiwan is hosting the 2026 Tourism Circle Market Day from October 16 to 19 at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Organized by the Taiwan Tourism Administration, the event features 200 high-quality tourism businesses from across Taiwan and its outlying islands, representing 18 distinct tourism circles.

To support the event, the Kinmen County Government is promoting Kinmen as the nation's 18th tourism circle. Visitors to the Kinmen stalls can participate in a promotional activity to win limited-edition gift bags by completing specific tasks, such as visiting stalls and making purchases. Featured Kinmen brands include K Beer, local traditional medicine shops, and various boutique accommodations.

In Taichung, Weiguo Travel Agency has launched the ‘Taichung Food and Fishing Exploration’ one-day tour. This itinerary connects the Weirong Miso Culture Museum and the Baoxiong Fishing Leisure Pier to offer educational experiences in traditional fermentation and marine culture. The tour emphasizes sustainability, including activities like creating coasters from recycled oyster shells to promote a circular economy.
