Taiwan labor agency promotes Mid-Autumn gifts to support local entrepreneurs

The Workforce Development Agency of Taiwan's Ministry of Labor is promoting various local Mid-Autumn Festival gift sets to support micro-entrepreneurs and social welfare organizations.

The Taichung, Hsinchu, and Miaoli branches have curated gift selections from community development associations and welfare institutions. Featured items include egg yolk pastries from the Nanping Community Development Association, mugwort-based wellness sets from the Gaoyuan Community Development Association, and assorted rice crackers from the Miaoli Private Youan Nursery. These initiatives aim to leverage local resources to create employment opportunities and provide stable income for vulnerable groups.

Simultaneously, the Northern Branch has released an electronic catalog titled ‘Phoenix Spreading Wings · Chasing the Full Moon,’ showcasing 14 businesses supported by the Micro-Entrepreneurship Phoenix Program. The catalog includes a diverse range of products such as low-sugar pastries, specialty coffee, organic agricultural goods, and fermented beverages. The program focuses on assisting women and middle-aged individuals in establishing stable businesses through consulting and financial subsidies, using seasonal gift catalogs to increase market exposure for these micro-enterprises.
