Taiwan seniors benefit from new community care events

The Huashan Foundation in Chiayi partnered with Showtime Life to host a pop‑up charity of popcorn, inviting creator Eddy Zhang as ambassador. Five elderly volunteers received free popcorn and embraces, and sales proceeds will fund year‑round home‑care services for seniors who are widowed, disabled or have dementia.

Separately, the senior learning centre of Kaohsiung’s Taoyuan district visited the Longjing Agricultural Association in Taichung. Participants performed a farm‑themed drama, shared indigenous songs and took part in joint dances, fostering inter‑regional cultural exchange and promoting active ageing programmes across Taiwan.
