Taiwan launches extensive job fairs and AI‑driven hiring, offering over 15,000 positions

In August, Taiwan’s Labor Development Agency’s Taoyuan‑Hsinchu‑Miaoli branch organized eight on‑site job fairs across Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli. The events attracted 224 companies and released more than 10,000 vacancies covering technology, manufacturing, food service, transport and other sectors. Specific sessions included 4,934 openings in Taoyuan, 6,585 in Miaoli and numerous high‑pay engineering roles such as up to NT$100,000 monthly salaries.

Meanwhile, Taichung City’s labour bureau introduced AI‑powered recruitment tools. Seventy local firms posted over 3,500 jobs and used an “AI virtual interview‑officer” along with e‑resume and VR workplace simulations to match young job‑seekers more precisely with industry needs. The AI system provides real‑time feedback on interview performance and aims to shorten the job‑search cycle. Both initiatives are part of a broader effort to boost youth employment and align talent with Taiwan’s evolving industrial landscape.
