Taiwan launches stock market dashboard to increase transparency

The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has directed the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) to launch a ‘Taiwan Stock Market Dashboard’ to enhance market transparency. The platform, which officially went online on September 23, 2026, centralizes critical financial data into a single, visual interface.

Key data categories include credit business information, such as margin maintenance rates, margin balances, and the proportion of securities lending/short selling relative to total market turnover. The dashboard also tracks non-purpose loans from brokers and provides details on investor defaults, including the number of people and total amounts involved. Additionally, the platform integrates corporate revenue data, showing monthly and cumulative trends as well as statistics on growing or declining industries.

FSC Chairman Peng Jin-long emphasized that the initiative follows the principles of safety, transparency, fairness, and efficiency. The dashboard is designed to help investors monitor systemic risks, such as the distance to the 130% margin maintenance threshold, and to better understand market leverage and fundamental trends through daily updates and historical data queries.
