Taiwan municipalities hold Autumn Sacrifice ceremonies to honor fallen heroes
Local governments in Taiwan held Autumn Sacrifice ceremonies to honor fallen soldiers and public servants.
In New Taipei City, Mayor Hou Yu-ih led a memorial service at the Tamsui Martyrs' Shrine. The ceremony included incense offering and flower presentation to express respect for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Following the ritual, the Mayor visited the families of the deceased to offer condolences.
In Chiayi City, Mayor Huang Min-hui presided over a similar ceremony at the Chiayi Martyrs' Shrine. The event honored military martyrs as well as police officers who died in the line of duty. The Mayor presented condolence payments to the bereaved families and emphasized the importance of remembering the courage and selfless dedication of the fallen to inspire future generations.
