Taiwanese design brands showcase at Maison&Objet Paris
The TAIWAN CRAFTS & DESIGN showcase has returned to Maison&Objet Paris 2026. Curated by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute under Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, the pavilion features seven distinct Taiwanese brands: KIMU, Lumamiling, MOTOR design, Pan Pan Hua, TOMO, UMAMI, and WÈI CRAFT.
The exhibition highlights how traditional Taiwanese materials and techniques can be adapted for modern international markets. The featured works span various mediums, including wood, leather, ceramics, paper mulberry bark fibre, lighting, and furniture.
Specific brand focuses include Lumamiling’s use of Indigenous barkcloth traditions, Pan Pan Hua’s handcrafted ceramic tiles inspired by architectural heritage, and WÈI CRAFT’s exploration of leather craftsmanship. The showcase aims to demonstrate a craft culture that is both culturally grounded and forward-looking.
