Taiwanese organizations hold memorial ceremonies for deceased veterans

Various organizations in Taiwan held memorial ceremonies during the Hungry Ghost Festival to honor deceased veterans for their contributions to the nation.

The Veterans Affairs Council hosted a regional memorial service in Kaohsiung at the Yanchao area of the Military Cemetery. Led by Deputy Minister Fu Cheng, the ceremony included representatives from various service, care, and medical institutions to express gratitude for the veterans' sacrifices and service to the country.

In Hsinchu, the Taipei Veterans General Hospital Hsinchu Branch conducted its own memorial and Hungry Ghost Festival rituals. Hospital Director Chen Tseng-chi led staff in offering prayers and traditional offerings to honor veterans who passed away at the facility, while also praying for the health and recovery of current patients.
