Taiwanese police officers assist elderly citizens in distress

Police officers in Taiwan have provided critical assistance to elderly citizens facing health and mobility issues.

In Wujie, Yilan County, Officer Li Ying-chu discovered an elderly woman who appeared physically exhausted and unable to return home due to a waist injury. Recognizing the risks of her attempting to travel alone in fading light, Officer Li coordinated with the Wujie Fire Department to ensure the woman was safely transported to Boai Hospital for medical treatment.

In Changhua County, officers from the Hemei Police Station responded to reports of a senior citizen who had become lost. Officers Wang Shi-ze and Chiu Cheng-wei used landmarks described by the woman to locate her residence and provided transportation back to her home. Following the incident, authorities advised families to monitor elderly members closely and suggested using contact information on clothing or anti-lost bracelets to assist in future emergencies.
