Following this event, authorities reminded the public that mobility scooters are classified as pedestrian aids and must not be operated on prohibited high-speed roadways.

In Yilan County, police coordinated with fire departments to transport an exhausted elderly woman with a waist injury to a hospital. In Changhua County, officers used landmarks to locate and transport a lost senior citizen home. In response to these recurring events, authorities have advised families to monitor elderly relatives closely and suggested using contact information on clothing or anti-lost bracelets to assist in future emergencies.
