Taiwanese universities win multiple TSAA Sustainable Action Awards

The 2026 TSAA Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards recognized several university initiatives for their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) secured one silver and three bronze awards. Their winning projects included smart energy management for high-tech factories, sustainable tourism and health services for Liuqiu Island, cultural preservation in the Dadaocheng historic district, and forest sustainability education for primary and secondary students.

National Central University (NCU) received one gold and one silver award through its University Social Responsibility (USR) programs. The gold award was granted to the ‘Life Sustaining 2.0’ project for promoting inclusive governance and economic systems for special needs communities in Taoyuan. The silver award was awarded to the ‘Digital Remote Early Intervention’ project, which utilizes IoT, VR, and AI to provide remote rehabilitation and educational support for children with developmental delays in remote areas.
