Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards recognition

The 2026 Asia Pacific and Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards, organized by the Taiwan Sustainable Energy Research Foundation (TAISE), recognized various organizations for their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Initial recognitions included Kaohsiung Medical University for healthcare initiatives, Tunghai University for education and music therapy, and Chang Gung University of Science and Technology for elderly care and AI-driven education. In the public sector, the Yunlin County Government received 42 awards, while state-owned enterprises such as CPC Corporation, Taipower, Taiwan Sugar, and Taiwan Water Corporation were honored for integrating clean energy and environmental protection into their operations.

Subsequent award announcements highlighted specific achievements from Taiwanese universities. National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) received awards for smart energy management, sustainable tourism, cultural preservation, and forest sustainability education. National Central University (NCU) earned a gold award for its ‘Life Sustaining 2.0’ project regarding inclusive governance and a silver award for its ‘Digital Remote Early Intervention’ project, which utilizes IoT, VR, and AI to support children with developmental delays in remote areas.
